The Kanawha Valley Collective is a Continuum of Care dedicated to preventing and eradicating homelessness by improving homelessness services and removing barriers to housing in Kanawha, Boone, Clay and Putnam counties. Our organization consists of numerous social service organizations, state and federal agencies, city representatives, hospitals, clinics and community members in the four counties we serve. Our common goal is to address the underlying causes of homelessness, rapidly re-house the homeless, and remove barriers to the homeless remaining stably housed.
The Kanawha Valley Collective holds monthly membership meetings the first Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. at the United Way building in Charleston. The KVC meets weekly with housing service providers, Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority and shelter case managers to discuss current clientele and where they are at in the housing process, and how the various service providers present can best assist them.
